All these people are telling me what to do. When I was at Hatfield no one cared what I did or how I dressed. All of a sudden I have people telling me how to behave. I miss the days when I was free to be myself. I feel like telling everyone to just GET LOST! But I can't, because that would not be "Queen-like". I will NOT be governed by those whom I govern!

What may I ask did you expect to happen when you became Queen? Did you honestly think it would be masques and dancing all the time. Look to your predecessor Kathrine of Aragon for she was a woman fit to be Queen, strong, faithful, wise, dignified and above all humble.

Do not fool yourself, you have been waiting for this moment for a long time. You could never truly be yourself at court in another ruler's shadow. But now you have the freedom to show, what a prince of England is truly capable of. How will you reign in those who lack faith in your abilities to make a decision as a ruler? Do you have any plans that you wish to share??

Katherine of Aragon was a great Queen, but times have changed and a different leader is necessary to rule England. Let us all just leave Elizabeth alone and give her our support as citizens of this great country!
ReplyDeleteDon't fool yourself into thinking you were completely free at Hatfield. You've always had Kat Ashley looking over your shoulder to make sure you were in line. Perhaps you weren't ever as free as you'd like to think.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, you feel sheltered and are sick of having people tell you how to dress and how to behave, just be grateful for the power you hold. Think about all your countrymen who struggle to make ends meet. You have the ablitily to make a difference, embrace your position and keep your head up high. There are worst things in the world then having some structure.
